When Hurricane Katrina hit the Gulf Coast less than a month before the Advanced Seminar on human displacement and resettlement, SAR quickly arranged to fly in Gregory Button, an anthropologist who had just returned from working with evacuees in the Houston Astrodome and could make the seminar’s discussions even more timely. When a drunk driver killed an employee, SAR turned tragedy into action by organizing a series of DWI workshops of such impact and relevance that they were featured in the New York Times.

If you prefer to give your credit card information by phone, or if you would like to make a gift of stock, please call SAR’s Institutional Advancement Office at (505) 954-7200, 9 a.m.–12 p.m. or 1–5 p.m. (mountain time), Monday through Friday.
