The historic campus of the School of American Research is located on Santa Fe’s east side. Built by sisters Amelia Elizabeth White and Martha Root White in the 1920s, the estate became the home of SAR in 1973. Canyon Road, with its many galleries and shops is within walking distance and the Santa Fe Plaza, the heart of the city, is one mile away.
